The PCC Conference takes place in Aalborg from 4–5 November and gathers cadastral authorities and professionals from across Europe for two days of knowledge sharing, presentations, and networking under the theme: “Property data and climate adaptation – The cadastre’s role in addressing climate challenges.”
The conference was opened on Tuesday by Deputy Director General Jesper Nørgaard Andersen and Head of Division Jess Svendsen from the Danish Geodata Agency.
“The EU Presidency offers a unique opportunity to share Danish experiences with basic data and property registration – and to strengthen collaboration with our European colleagues on how cadastral and property data can support the green transition” said Jess Svendsen, Head of the Property Registration and Legislation Division.
The programme highlights how cadastral and property data can support climate initiatives, sustainable land management, and the green transition. Both Danish and international experts are sharing their experiences on the use of property data in climate adaptation, changes in land use and ownership, cooperation between cadastral and environmental authorities, and Denmark’s approach to basic data and the role of the cadastre in society.
The conference concludes on 5 November with a plenary session, during which Denmark will formally hand over the PCC Presidency to Cyprus.
