The Danish Geodata Agency is providing guidelines on bathymetric surveys in Danish harbours

03-06-2022

Bathymetric survey data is increasingly important in the Danish Harbours and fjords, where precise and frequent measurements are necessary due to the changing conditions and critical underkeel clearances.

In order to support the Danish Harbour Authorities engaged in bathymetric data collection for improving safety of navigation, The Danish Geodata Agency has recently published guidelines on bathymetric surveys in Danish harbours along with new instructions for submission of bathymetric data and metadata. Both are available on the Geodata Agency's website.

The guidelines clarify the standard requirements for bathymetric surveys in Danish Harbours, how the data quality is assessed and the requirements for submitting both data and documentation.
