General conditions

Please note the Danish Geodata Agency’s standard conditions with the issuance of a reproduction permit.

The following stated conditions may be subject to change, and it is always the specific reproduction licence that sets out the final terms and conditions:

  • The reproduced nautical chart must include the following reference to the Danish Geodata Agency’s copyright and the permit number: © Geodatastyrelsen – GST-320-XXXX
  • The reproduced nautical chart must include a statement that the chart is not suitable for navigation: “Not suitable for navigation”
  • Modified or edited nautical charts that do not explicitly state that the material does not reflect the original chart material from the Danish Geodata Agency must be marked with the text: “Not original chart material”
  • Historical nautical charts (charts that are no longer valid) must be marked with the text: “Historical nautical chart”

Depending on which conditions apply in your specific case, the required text must be placed directly on the reproduced nautical chart or in immediate proximity thereto. The text must be clearly visible and legible.

Furthermore, please note that the Danish Geodata Agency must receive a copy or photographic documentation of the final product no later than 14 days after publication of the reproduced nautical chart.
